Wing Surfing Lesson

This an RYA approved introductory lesson is designed for people who have no previous wingsurfing or wingfoiling experience. The aim of this Wingsurfing lesson is to teach you the basics of safely handling a wing on a SUP/windsurf board on the land and water. This session is the starting point which will put you on the pathway to becoming a competent wingsurfer or progressing to Wingfoiling.

The lesson will include:

1. Launch area risk assessment
2. How to set the equipment up
3. How to handle the wing on land
4. Developing power with the wing
5. Self Rescue Techniques
6. Handling the wing and board when entering the water
7. Transitioning from in the water to standing on the board
8. Riding on the board on the water at various angles to the wind
9. Turning the board

All equipment including wetsuits, buoyancy aid and helmet will be provided.

This activity is suitable for ages 13+ with all children under 18 years accompanied by an adult.
