Welcome to the booking page for YEAR 1 - FAMILY BUSHCRAFT DAY.

Immerse yourself in the great outdoors with an exciting day at Hill End Outdoor Centre (just 15mins drive from Oxford) - a beautiful 63-acres of woods, fields with excellent facilities on site.

This experience will offer the Year 1 children fun survival skills, connection with nature, and time to bond as a class. From building dens to identifying plants, the day is packed with hands-on activities that ignite curiosity and boost confidence. All abilities are welcome in this supportive, friendly environment led by an experienced instructor (Charles, Odin's dad). Here is a rough schedule for the day:

1pm - Parents and children arrive at Hill End (there's free parking). We'll meet by the sandpit play area in front of reception

1.20pm - Den building in the woods

2.30pm - Break and snack

3.00pm - Pond dipping and muddy stream walk

4.00pm - Break and snack

4.30pm - Light a communal fire in the woods

5.00pm - Eat dinner around the fire (food is provided)

5.30pm - Evening game in the woods

6.00pm - Finish with a walk to the top of Hill End to admire the dusk views

6.30pm - Head home

Extra info:

1. Cost is £15/person (which includes site access,
2. This a not for profit event (all funds go directly to the Hill End charity)
3. Siblings are very welcome (just add on at checkout)
4. This is a tech free event (no phones where possible)
5. All children must be accompanied by a parent

Kit:

1. Keep it minimal - just a day bag will do
2. Wear clothes suitable for outdoor summer weather (trousers are best)
3. Spare clothes in case of wetness
4. A warm layer for evening time
5. Trainers are good (bring wellies aswell if you have them)
6. Suncream/ large water bottle/ snacks
