Thursday PM Beginners

This is a beginners session for those starting on the exciting journey into paddlesport. You don't need any previous experience or equipment.

In these sessions you can choose from Kayak, Canoe or Stand Up Paddleboard and learn the basics to control the craft on the Lagoon at Holme Pierrepont Country Park.

The sessions run from 6pm on Saturday mornings for 1.5 hours. Please arrive 15 minutes before the session to say hello and let us know what you would like to get from the session, what craft you would like to try and get kitted out ready to get wet and have fun!

These sessions are for complete beginners and you will need to sign up for temporary membership which costs £3 and is valid for 4 sessions so you only need to add this on the FIRST session.

After three sessions we would be happy to welcome you to our normal Coached sessions as a fully member. You can apply for this on our website in the Membership section (look for Membership menu at the top).

PLEASE NOTE BOOKING CLOSES AT 6pm ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT OR WHEN SESSION IS FULLY BOOKED.

PARKING Charges are NOT included in the costs of this session or temporary membership. The car parks are managed by a third party contracted to the site owners and we are not affiliated with them in any way. You MUST pay for parking using the app or phone number as posted on site or inside the centre building to avoid any parking fines.

Please wear clothing that can get wet and muddy, along with water shoes, or old trainers. No crocs or flip flops please. Please bring a change of clothing and shower kit. Glasses should be held on with a glasses retainer or string to prevent them ending up a the bottom of the lake.
