Lake District Trip 17/18 May

An opportunity to paddle on some of Englands greatest lakes in stunning scenery and in the company of other paddlers.

The plan is to paddle Coniston Water on the Saturday and possible the bottom end of Windermere on the Sunday depending on weather and any other preferences or options on the day.

You will need to book your own accommodation and transport your own craft to the Lake District, or arrange to travel with another paddler who can transport both boats.

All paddlers completing this trip need to be competent to paddle to Trent Bridge and back and confident in their craft. For Kayaks a spraydeck should be used. The trip is open to Open Canoes, Kayaks and SUPs, but Open Canoeists must be confident of keeping up with the group.

You will need to bring your own craft, paddles and buoyancy aid. Club equipment can be borrowed for this trip, but needs to be collected the week before the trip. You should have appropriate clothing, and will need a packed lunch on both days.
