Description

Adult Improvers Sessions

Every Wednesday evening from 6 til 7.30pm you can come and have a board or ski for anyone intermediate and above.

Minimum Ability

Participants must be able to turn, stop, control direction and speed, and use the lift, at least from the middle of the slope.

Please Note

The booking price reflects the ‘non-member’ rates, you will need to have joined and logged in to the booking system, for it to then automatically adjust to the reduced club rates.

NB. You must book up to 24 hours prior. In the event of too few subscribers then the session may have to be cancelled 24 hours in advance, for the club to not incur any last minute cancellation charges. You will receive a full refund and notification if this is the case.

IMPORTANT - NEW CAR PARKING SYSTEM AT THE CENTRE

From May 9th 2025 the parking will be managed and are applying a £2 standard charge for all car park users, with the exception of NWSC current paid up members.

NWSC members will need to go the ski room, show they’re current membership (signed in on the eola app), and then enter their number plate into the machine in there, so as not to be charged.

Membership

Annual Membership begins on the 1st Oct each year.

Full membership of the North Wales Snowsports Club is not a requirement to participate in these sessions, the standard rate includes the temporary membership required. However becoming a full member does entitle you to significant reductions on all regular NWSC sessions (usually £5), and the general use of the Llandudno slope outside of the clubs session times, and free parking at the centre during session times. If you are not a current member or wish to renew, then you can find out more and join via the link on here

Requirements

  1. You will need to be able to stop, turn, control direction and speed and use the lift, at least from the middle of the slope.
  2. Parents of any children under the age of 16 are expected to remain at the centre, within sight of the slope or make suitable arrangements otherwise, in case they are required.
  3. The supervising coach/es will reserve the right to ask participants to leave the slope should their ability not be up to the required standard, and / or potentially be at imminent risk of harming themselves or others.

What to bring

You can bring your own ski or snowboard gear if preferred, or you can use the hire equipment from the Llandudno centre, included in the price.

You must bring (your own) gloves, and wet weather gear is advised in case of rain. Bare in mind there are also sprinklers on the slope to consider.

Helmets are advised for younger users, but aren’t such a bad idea for more mature participants either.

Itinerary

Coaching is available throughout the session. Please introduce yourself to the NWSC coaches present, and they will offer the best advice from there.
