Shred Session - Freestyle

Our next shred ski & snowboard freestyle session is coming up!

We use features (ramps, rails and boxes), have tunes playing, prizes for best, and most interesting shredders! And the session is fully coached for all levels, so shred newbies and jedis are welcome!

Minimum ability - you must be able to control speed and direction from the top of the slope, turn, stop, and use the lift unaided.

Please Note: The booking price reflects the ‘non-member’ rates, you will need to have joined and logged in to the booking system, for it to then automatically adjust to the reduced club rates.

NB. You must book for the session up to 24 hours prior. In the event of too few subscribers then the session may have to be cancelled 24 hours in advance, for the club to not incur any last minute cancellation charges. You will receive a full refund and notification if this is the case.

IMPORTANT - NEW CAR PARKING SYSTEM AT THE CENTRE: NWSC session attendees are relieved of paying the £2 standard charge for all car park users, provided they use the keypad in the ski room to submit their number plate. Automatic fines are in place if users negate to do so.

Membership

The New Season Memberships begin on the 1st Oct each year.

Full membership of the North Wales Snowsports Club is not a requirement to participate in these sessions, the standard rate includes the temporary membership required. However becoming a full member does entitle you to significant reductions on all regular NWSC sessions, and the general use of the Llandudno slope outside of the clubs session times. 1. This session is for those boarders and skiers that want to shred, jib and have fun.
2. You will need to be capable of boarding/skiing from the top of the slope making controlled linked turns and stopping at speed.
3. All participants will have their boarding/skiing assessed on their first session, and the coaches will advise the best steps from there if not up to par.
4. The supervising coach reserves the right to ask participants to leave the slope should their ability not be up to the required standard, and / or potentially be at imminent risk of harming themselves or others.

If you have your own ski or snowboard gear please bring it with you. There is standard ski and board equipment available at the centre, and the club has some twin tip skis that can be made available for use. Please bring (your own) gloves and wet weather gear, in case of rain, but there are also sprinklers on the slope to consider. Helmets are necessary, and a back protector is also strongly advised.
