Flyers Sessions

Our more focused race training sessions at the Llandudno at 6:30pm each week. Ideal for those wanting to hone their skills, but also for those who want to just improve in general. We have experienced Coaches to help you improve race skills with a view to competing in local and national ski races, and beyond.

Minimum Ability

In order to attend these sessions you must either be a registered racer with seed points, or be advised / approved to attend by one club coaches. The Sunday Skills sessions can be a good entry level session, and the Coaches there can assess ability and advise accordingly.

Please Note

The booking price reflects the ‘non-member’ rates, you will need to have joined the club via the eola system, and logged in to the booking system, for it to then automatically adjust to the reduced club rates.

NB. You must book for the session up to 24 hours prior. In the event of too few subscribers then the session may have to be cancelled 24 hours in advance, for the club to not incur any last minute cancellation charges. You will receive a full refund and notification if this is the case.

IMPORTANT - CAR PARKING SYSTEM AT THE CENTRE: NWSC session attendees are relieved of paying the £2 standard charge for all car park users, provided they use the keypad in the ski room to submit their number plate. Automatic fines are in place if users negate to do so.

Membership

Annual Membership begins on the 1st September each year, and runs until the 31st August the following year.

Full membership of the North Wales Snowsports Club is not a requirement to participate in these sessions, the standard rate includes the temporary membership required. However becoming a full member does entitle you to significant reductions on all regular NWSC sessions (usually £5), and the general use of the Llandudno slope outside of the clubs session times, and free parking at the centre during NWSC session times. 1. This session is for those skiers that want tom improve their skills, and progress further in ski racing.
2. You will need to be a competent skier capable of skiing from the top of the slope making controlled linked turns.
3. All participants will need to be either a registered racer with seed points, or have been approved by one of our NWSC coaches prior to attending.
4. Parents of any children under the age of 16 are expected to remain at the centre, within sight of the slope or make suitable arrangements, in case they are required.
5. The supervising coach/es will reserve the right to ask participants to leave the slope should their ability not be up to the required standard, and / or potentially be at imminent risk of harming themselves or others.

If you have your own ski gear please bring it with you.

The cost includes hire of equipment from the slope at Llandudno if you don't have your own gear.

Helmets are required for this session.

Lots of skills and drills as well as skiing through slalom gates and markers. Attendees may be required to help out with equipment used, either during set up, and/or when packing down.
