Regional Schools Skiing - PONTYPOOL 2026

Throughout May and June, and in partnership with Select Schools Skiing, we bring a programme of regional events open to all school aged children. Our South East Wales event will be held in PONTYPOOL on the morning of Saturday 9th May 2026.

Event Timing/Race Groups

10:00-11:15am - Primary Schools races (registration and bib collection from 9:00am)

11:30-12:45pm - Secondary Schools races (registration and bib collection from 11:15pm)

Please ensure the correct time is selected when booking (refer to event timing details above for separate race groups for primary and secondary races). Contact our office on membership@snowsportwales.com with any questions or queries.

Entries for the these events will close at 5pm on 2nd May (7 days before the event) or earlier if entries reach capacity.

PLEASE NOTE: we require all competitors to complete in full and return our COMPETITOR DETAIL ENTRY FORM by 5pm on 2nd May to membership@snowsportwales.com

Participants must be competent skiers, able to use the ski lift, turn left and right, stop on the hill, and be able to control their speed of descent.  A practice session will be provided on the race day with a simple slalom. If further training is required contact your local Ski Club or centre for details.

Ski equipment if you have it and clothing for the weather expected. Arms and legs must be covered, gloves must be worn at all times when skiing.

N.B. Helmets are mandatory for all competitors.
